GSK/Panadol Rebranding a Global Product
Panadol is one of the world’s most trusted pain relievers. Paracetamol, the active ingredient in Panadol, works by blocking the prostaglandins which are the chemicals that signal pain and inflammation in the brain. It is also gentle on the stomach and may be a suitable choice in patients for whom non-steroidal anti-inflammatories are not appropriate. Available in more than 80 countries (but not in the USA), it is called "the Tylenol of the world". Based on the new packaging that aligned the look and feel globally, a new visual identity system was created to express the main promise of Panadol, suitability and efficacy. The two layered design represents this duality while creating a soothing effect.
